Highlander launched in 1986 as The Highlander and became known around the world as the entertaining platform for original owner Malcolm Forbes. The Jon Bannenberg design got a new owner in 2013 and completed an extensive refit and extension at the Derecktor shipyard this past January. She then entered the charter market with a more contemporary transom design, an expanded sundeck, a contemporary interior décor, zero-speed stabilizers and an updated audiovisual system. Accommodations are for 12 guests in seven staterooms, and a crew of 11 are on board. Originally built for Malcolm Forbes by De Vries in 1986, the Bannenberg design Feadship was long seen as one of the best-known symbols of big business, cruising the east coast of the USA as a corporate yacht for Forbes magazine.
